Hallo,

ich hatte am Freitag kontakt mit einem Bekannten in New Jersey. er hat mir einen kleinen Bericht über die Schäden und Probleme geschickt.

Hier ist der kleine Bericht:

Hello Manfred and thanks for the kind words!
Overall most here in Allendale and extended families dis well considering!
What a disaster.
111 homes wiped out in Breezy Point. , Rockaway N.Y., most of the NJ Shore devastated including the entire Atlantic City Boardwalk and thousands of homes and businesses.
Jersey City amongst other areas – curfews and restrictions.
Hoboken: 25,000 still trapped in apartments.
3 people minimum in cars to NYC and in NYC.
Rapid transit coming back slow. Free for now.
Gas lines everywhere 50,60,80,100 cars long and or stations out of gas (or no electricity)
ATM’s down, trees down, etc.
In regards to me personally,
We never lost power, lost the ‘tent’ in the backyard storage for lawn equipment, and one big 75-85 ft. 100 year old oak, and some other branches and a pine tree.
No flooding. No garage damage etc.
Could have been much worse!
By the way it took over 20 miles of detours, etc. to get here to work 6 miles from home.
